PRIVACY POLICY

Effective 23 July 2026

Daykeep (com.daykeep.game) is a daily tower-defence game. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

Account — a device-generated player ID, the display name and tag you choose, and (if you sign in) your Google Play Games player ID (Android) or Game Center player ID (iOS), and/or the email address you link. If you sign in by email, we email you a one-time code; possession of the inbox is the only proof we use — we never see or store a password.
Gameplay — your scores, waves reached, run stats, gem balance and owned items, used for leaderboards and the game economy.
Purchases — when you buy gems, the platform store processes the payment — Google Play on Android, the Apple App Store on iOS; we store the purchase transaction ID to grant your gems. We never receive your card or payment details.
Ads — if you watch a rewarded ad, Google AdMob and its ad-mediation partners may collect an advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. On iOS we first ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Technical — your IP address and basic request logs, used briefly to operate the service, rate-limit, and prevent abuse.

How we use it

Run the game and save your progress across devices.
Show daily and all-time leaderboards.
Grant and track gems, purchases, and ad rewards.
Detect cheating and fraud, and keep the service secure.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run these features: Google Play Billing and the Apple App Store (purchases), Google Play Games and Apple Game Center (sign-in, if used), Google AdMob and its ad-mediation partners (rewarded ads), and Resend (delivers the one-time sign-in code to your email address, if you link one). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

Retention & deletion

We keep your account and game data while your account is active. To request deletion of your data, email us at stefansjs@daykeep.co.za, or follow the steps on our account & data deletion page.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under the GDPR, South Africa under POPIA, and California under the CCPA/CPRA), you have rights over your personal data. You can ask us to:

Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correct data that is inaccurate — you can also change your display name in-game.
Delete your account and data (see account & data deletion).
Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent you have given.
Portability — receive your data in a portable form, where that right applies.

To exercise any of these, email stefansjs@daykeep.co.za. We do not sell your personal information. You also have controls inside the game:

Ad consent — in consent regions (EU/UK and others), the app shows a Google User Messaging Platform consent form before serving personalised ads; you can review or change your choice any time from Settings → Privacy Options.
iOS tracking — on iOS we ask through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using an advertising identifier; you can change this any time in the device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in South Africa, the Information Regulator).

Children

Daykeep is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
